About Tiny Fishing

Tiny Fishing is an idle fishing game that first appeared on the web in December 2020. A small fisherman drops a line into the sea, and every cast follows the same loop: send the hook down, catch fish, collect the money they are worth, and spend it on better gear so later casts go deeper and bring up more. It is built to run in a browser on both computers and phones, in a tall portrait layout.

How to play

Cast your line, then click and sweep the mouse from side to side to steer the hook into fish as it moves through the water. On a phone or tablet you do the same with your finger. Each fish you hook adds money to your total, and how much depends on how rare it is. The aim is to get as much value as you can out of every cast.

The three upgrades

All progress runs through three upgrades, each bought with the money from your catches:

Fish count raises how many fish your line can carry on a single cast.
Depth lets the hook sink farther down, where the more valuable sea life lives.
Offline earnings sets how much money the game makes for you while you are not playing.

Aquarium and hooks

Every new type of fish you land is added to your Aquarium, and the fish kept there also earn money while you are away, so filling it out pays you back over time. The game also has a set of different hook designs to collect.

Tips

Prioritize depth. The best-paying fish sit lower in the water, and Legendary fish do not show up at all until roughly 15 m.
Your line holds a limited number of fish, so aim for the valuable ones instead of filling it with whatever is closest.
Raise offline earnings and come back after a break; the money that piles up while you are gone speeds up your next round of upgrades.
Check the Aquarium whenever you catch something new, since each new species adds to your passive income.
