Spider Solitaire on this page is the Poki release from InfinityGames, a studio based in Portugal, first listed on Poki in November 2021. Inside the game the title screen reads "Spider Solitaire Plus". It is the two-deck patience game: the cards are dealt into ten columns, most of them face down, and your job is to clear the table by building full runs from King down to Ace.

Choosing a difficulty

When you start a new game you pick how many suits are in play. The menu offers three settings:

• 1 Suit: the whole table is spades, so rank is the only thing you have to watch. This is the gentle way in.
• 2 Suits: spades and a red suit. You can still park cards on the wrong suit, but only a same-suit run can be moved as a block or cleared.
• 4 Suits: the classic hard version, where mixed columns pile up fast.

How a hand works

Everything is done with the mouse, or with a finger on a phone or tablet. Pick up a card, or a same-suit run, and drop it on a card exactly one rank higher. Any card or same-suit run may drop into an empty column. When no useful move is left, click the stock in the corner and a fresh row lands across all ten columns, one card each. The game will not let you deal while any column is empty, so fill gaps first. Once a column holds King to Ace in one suit, that run flies off to the foundation. Clear eight runs and the hand is won.

Help, power-ups and settings

• Hints: the lightbulb shows a legal move. You start with five; when they run out, the game offers a short ad to refill them.
• Undo: steps back one move at a time.
• Magic Wand: an ad-unlocked power-up that sorts cards into finished runs for you.
• Shuffle: gathers every face-down card and mixes them again, which can rescue a dead deal.
• Scoring Mode: Standard, Vegas or Vegas Cumulative, chosen in settings.
• Left Hand: a switch that flips the table layout for left-handed play.

A statistics panel tracks games played, won and lost, your high score, fastest win, fewest moves and averages for each, kept per difficulty.

Scoring

In the standard mode each deal begins with a bank of points. Every move you make takes a point away, and every completed King-to-Ace run adds a large bonus, so a clean clear with few wasted moves scores best.

Tips

• Turn over face-down cards before anything else; hidden cards are what lock up a game.
• Work toward a bare column early on. Nothing else on the table gives you as much room to rearrange.
• In two- and four-suit games, prefer moves that keep runs in one suit, even if another move looks tidier.
• Before tapping the stock, make every useful move you can, because the new row will cover your open cards.
