Blackjack unblocked: play Blackjack online free right here in your browser — no download, no sign-up, works on a school Chromebook.
This Blackjack is a small one-hand card table that runs in a web page: you against a dealer, one fresh deck, and three buttons. It was put together by the GitHub user markcuatrona23 and is hosted on GitHub Pages. There are no chips, no bets and no side rules, so it works best as a quick way to practise the core decision of the game, which is when to take another card and when to stop.
How to play
- Click New Game. A full deck of 52 cards (four suits, Ace to King) is built and shuffled, and two cards go to the dealer and two to you.
- Your total and the dealer's total are shown above each hand. Click Hit to draw one more card.
- Click Stay when you are happy with your total. The dealer then draws, and the result appears under the cards.
- When the hand is over, the New Game button comes back so you can deal again.
Everything is done with mouse clicks, or taps on a touch screen.
How the cards count
| Card | Value |
|---|---|
| Two to Nine | Face value |
| Ten, Jack, Queen, King | 10 |
| Ace | 1, or 11 when that does not take the hand past 21 |
House rules in this version
The code behind the page uses its own simple rules, and they differ from a casino table in ways that matter:
- Both of the dealer's cards are dealt face up, so you can see the dealer's full total before you decide.
- If you go over 21, you lose at once.
- After you stay, the dealer keeps drawing only while its total is below yours. There is no fixed "stand on 17" rule.
- If the dealer goes over 21, you win. Otherwise you win only if your total is higher than the dealer's. A tie counts as a dealer win.
- Finishing on exactly 21 while the dealer does not have 21 shows a "BLACKJACK!!" message with side confetti.
- There is no splitting, doubling down or insurance.
Tips that follow from these rules
- Since you can see the dealer's whole hand, compare totals before every click. If you are already ahead, staying forces the dealer to draw and risk going bust.
- Because ties go to the dealer, matching the dealer's total is not enough. You need to be strictly higher, or let the dealer bust.
- The Ace value is set for you. While your Ace is being counted as 11, one more card cannot take you over 21, because the Ace simply drops back to 1.
Questions about Blackjack
Is Blackjack unblocked at school?
Blackjack runs in an ordinary browser tab from crossyroad.me, with nothing to download or install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.
How do I play this Blackjack game?
Click New Game to deal two cards each, then click Hit to draw more cards or Stay to let the dealer draw. The result appears under the cards.
What happens in a tie?
In this version a tie counts as a win for the dealer, so you need a higher total than the dealer or a dealer bust to win.
When does the dealer stop drawing?
After you stay, the dealer keeps drawing only while its total is lower than yours. There is no fixed stand-on-17 rule.
Can I bet, split or double down?
No. The game has no chips or betting and no split, double down or insurance options, just Hit, Stay and New Game.
